Mahila Sahakari Milk Dairy

It’s exciting to learn about the successful trial run of the Thopudurthi Mahila Sahakari Milk Dairy, which was conducted by MLA Thopudurthi Prakash Reddy, his wife Manorama, and YSR Congress Party District President Paila Narasimhaiah. The dairy is located next to Jagananna Layout in Alamuru, Anantapur Rural Mandal.

The installation of advanced technical equipment and the smooth trial run indicate that the dairy is well-prepared for its opening. In the first phase, the dairy is expected to benefit 10,000 women dairy farmers across the Raptadu constituency. Within a year, an additional 20,000 people will benefit, resulting in a total of 30,000 women farmers benefiting from the dairy.

The primary goal of the dairy is to collect 1.20 lakh liters of milk per day from farmers. The collected milk will undergo processing, packaging, and transportation to Anantapur City and various towns for sale. This initiative will not only support the livelihoods of dairy farmers but also contribute to the availability of quality milk in the region.

The participation of various local leaders, convenors, representatives, and workers in the program demonstrates the collective effort and enthusiasm for the development of the dairy and the welfare of the community.
